Telemetry (anonymous data collection) in Cover Plugin for IntelliJ
Diffblue Cover Plugin captures anonymous usage data to help improve Cover services and features. You can turn this data collection off, if needed (see below).
Further information on our data collection and policies is provided in the Diffblue Privacy Notice.

To turn off data collection

To disable data collection, go to Diffblue > Change Settings > About in IntelliJ and deselect the Allow collection of anonymized usage statistics checkbox.

To repackage Cover Plugin with telemetry disabled

Larger organizations may find it useful to create an in-house distribution of Cover Plugin, with telemetry disabled:
  1. 1.
The plugin is distributed as a plain zip file. Make a copy of the Diffblue Cover Plugin zip file (diffblue-cover-ij-<release-version>.zip).
  2. 2.
Edit the diffblue-cover-ij/META-INF/ file in the zip and set backend to none (i.e. backend = none). Do not change any other setting.
  3. 3.
Your edited zip can now be distributed as needed - install your plugin distribution as detailed in Get started - Cover Plugin.
